RUGU Records, Inc. is a small label based in Austin+Raleigh, founded by brothers Guthrie and Riley. Our mission is to serve you fresh batches of southern electronic music.
In middle school, we heard noises like robotic warlords coming out of the radio. It was our first techno. Our hearts sang. We bought synthesizers and began the Sisyphean task of translating our feelings into sawtooth waves. Our love for Oakenfold infected some of our friends, and our eyes were opened to the great need for electronic music in the south. Hence, Rugu.
